Odisha: Naveen reviews post-cyclone situation in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: May 16: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a package for facilitating restoration work in the Kendrapara district after reviewing the post-cyclone scenario.

Naveen reviewed the post-cyclone situation at the Office of the Collector & District Magistrate in the headquarters and said, ‘Thirty Cyclone shelters at the rate of Rs.2 crore each will be constructed in vulnerable locations of the district. For repair of damage caused to school buildings, Anganwadi centres and public utility assets owned by the panchayats, an assistance of Rs 2 lakh per structure will be provided’.

Odisha CM said, ‘I have directed the district administration to take immediate steps for implementing the livelihood package for SHGs, farmers and fishermen’.

The Chief Minister also extended assistance to 12 cyclone victims.
