Bhubaneswar: July 11: Odisha has registered 570 new cases today and the total tally in the State has increased to 12,526. On the other side, 388 patients have recovered from the disease today, taking total recoveries to 8,360.
With this, now 4,087 cases are active in Odisha.
Also, as informed by Health & Family Welfare Department, 5 more patients succumbed to the infection, taking the total death toll of the State to 61. Out of 5 persons died today, 2 are from Ganjam District and one each from Cuttack, Khurda and Puri district.
Ganjam District is the worst-hit district of the State with 3,634 cases. Out of that,2079 patients have already recovered from infection and 1,518 cases are active. 36 patients from Ganjam have died so far due the disease.
Next is Khurda District. It has 1,231 cases so far. 868 patients have recovered and 351 cases are active. Also, 9 persons have died so far due to COVID.
Cuttack District has also recorded 987 cases so far. 670 from that, have recovered and 308 cases are active. Six persons from Cuttack district have died due to COVID.
Jajpur has registered 799 cases so far, followed by Sundergarh (660), Gajapati (593), Balasore (508), Jagatsinghpur (389), Puri (353), Mayurbhanj (327), Kendrapara (296), Keonjhar (292), Bhadrak (282), Nayagarh (265), Bolangir (260) Kandhamal (193), Bargarh (168), Jharsuguda (165), Rayagada (139), Malkangiri (134), Angul (133), Sambalpur (111), Dhenkanal (95), Koraput (95), Nabarangpur (89), Nuapada (86), Kalahandi (79), Deogarh (66), Boudh (53) and Subarnapur (44).
