Record Single Day Spike of 27,114 COVID-19 cases in India

Bhubaneswar: July 11: India has registered 27,114 COVID-19 cases in a Single day, which is the highest single day spike till date. Total tally in the Country has increased to 8,20,916.

The cumulative total number of recovered cases among COVID-19 patients has crossed the 5 lakh mark today. 5,15,385 COVID-19 patients have so far been cured and discharged.  The recovered cases outnumber the COVID-19 active cases by 2,31,978.

With this progressively widening gap, the recovery rate has further improved to 62.78%. During the last 24 hours, 19,870 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged.

There are 2,83,407 active cases and all are under medical supervision either in the central and state government hospitals for severe cases, and in home isolation for pre-symptomatic patients and those showing moderate symptoms.

In last 24 hours, 519 deaths have recorded in India. With this, total death toll in the Country rose to 22,123.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state with 2,38,461 cases and 9,893 casualties  Tamil Nadu remained the second worst hit with a total of 1,30,261 cases, including 1,829 deaths. Delhi recorded a total tally of 1,09,140 and 3,300 deaths.

Gujarat has 40,069 cases so far, followed by Uttar Pradesh (33,700), Rajasthan (23,174), Madhya Pradesh (16,657), West Bengal (27,109), Haryana (19,934), Karnataka (33,418), Andhra Pradesh (25,422) and Telangana (32,224).
