Odisha Registers Over 7K Fresh Covid-19 Cases In 24 Hours
Odisha registered 7,071 fresh Covid-19 Cases in 24 hours. Yesterday, State had reported 4,829 new cases. There are 2,242 extra cases added today in comparison to cases reported yesterday. Khurda District continues to be worst-affected district in the State with 2226 cases. Sundargarh and Sambalpur District also recorded 1147 and 609 cases respectively in 24 hours duration.
Out of 7071 new cases, 707 are under 18-years old, H & FW Department informed.
414 people recovered from the infection yesterday and total recoveries reached 10,47,031. On the other side, total tally of infected cases (since the beginning of the pandemic) increased to 10,82,769.

Active caseload stands at 27,216. Daily Positivity Rate remains at 10.24 percent.
One patient succumbed to the infection in 24 hours and total death toll increased to 8469.
Odisha has so far recorded 103 cases of Omicron Variant of Covid-19 including 28 new cases detected yesterday.
