Bhubaneswar, May 22: Although the ruling BJD celebrated its completion of three years for the fourth consecutive term, yesterday the opposition parties both Congress and BJP raise all its fingers to the regional party saying that it has failed on all sides.

The Congress said that the Odisha is still taken to be a backward state in the development index of the country even after 17 years of BJD rule. This clearly indicated that the government has utterly failed as a result of which  unemployment and poverty still surrounds people.

PCC president Prasad Harichandan said this at a press conference. He further stated that the government has also not able to provide electricity to 33 lakh households and piped water supply to people. 30 lakh people have been affected by the multi-crore chit fund scam and they have still not received their amount back. Harichandan also flayed both BJP and BJD for looting the state during the nine years of coalition government and now BJD is alone doing the same thing. Although its in rule for the past 14 years but it’s only focusing on the last three years because whatever achievement it has achieved its only in these last 3 years.

BJP also lashed at the ruling party for the latter’s failure in all spheres of the state. It questioned that when eligible families failed to get ration cards and instead people like the Mayor and families of  MLAs availed it, how could it be a successful government.
