Rayagada, Sept 21: On Tuesday, opposing the construction work of a road connecting Niyambgiri to Kalyansingpur, the dongria kondhs set a CRPF camp on fire.

For security measures during the construction of the road, the CRPF jawans were deployed there at the spot. But, as per the allegation of the local residents, the government has undertaken the road construction so that it can provide bauxite to Vedanta company from Niyamgiri hills.

Meanwhile, as per the information from Additional SP Patitapabana Choudhury, the Maoists are using the tribal people to commit such crime as they do not want development in the area.
