Bhubaneswar, Dec 17: Lecturers of the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) on Wednesday staged a dharna in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s office demanding to increase superannuation age from current 60 years to 65 years and special incentives to PhD certificate holders.
Around 300 lecturers attended as per a decision taken by the Odisha University Teacher’s Federation.
OUAT Teachers’ Association president Bibudha Parasar said though the association has submitted its demand to the Government many times, yet it has remained unheeded.
He said the federation has decided that all university teachers would resort to cease-work from January 2 If demands are not met soon by then.
