PM launches financial inclusion initiative by IDBI Bank


BHUBANESWAR, SEPT 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a significant financial inclusion initiative by IDBI Bank in Varansi recently.
A total of 101 e-rickshaws, 501 cycle rickshaws, funded by IDBI Bank as micro enterprise loan, in association with Bhartiya Micro Credit (BMC), a Business Correspondent of the Bank, was given as part of this initiative.
The Prime Minister also handed over IDBI RuPay Card to some of the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). Some of the account holders are also covered under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY).
The function was graced by Ram Naik, Governor of UP and Balram Yadav, Cabinet Minister, Government of UP.
Kishor Kharat, MD & CEO of IDBI Bank was present during the occasion. The function was also attended by B. K. Batra, Deputy Managing Director and S K V Srinivasan, Executive Director – Retail Banking.
