Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: A youth named Sidheswar Sahu, an engineering student in Khurda, was arrested by the Twin City Commissionerate police on Friday for allegedly torturing a minor 9th standard girl of an English medium school here and forcing her to commit suicide.
As per reports, Sahu came in contact with the girl via Facebook following which both of them started talking and meeting with each other on regular basis. They fell in love in no time.
Few days back, due to a heated argument with Sahu, the girl allegedly consumed poison and fell ill. After the girl’s family got to know about the matter, they filed a complaint at the Infocity police station. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested by the police.
