Absconding since a year, a Sikhya Sahayak teacher from a UP school at Nabarangpur district was arrested by the Dhamanagar Police in Bhadrak district in Odisha for his alleged involved in producing forged documents.
Identified as Srikant Dalei, the forger first came into limelight after the BEO of Kosagumuda, lodged a complaint against him at the Kodinga Police Station on March 7 last year for allegedly producing fake certificates to substantiate false claims required for jobs in upper primary schools of Nabarangpur districts.
Dalei was appointed as a sikhya sahayak teacher in UP school at Bhaktiguda in Odisha’s Nabarangpur, since 2013. His embezzlement came into fore after 6 years of his service in the field. Upon verification, it was found that the B.Ed certificate submitted to the authorities for appointment, were duplicate.
Since then the police have been in search for him. Lately, the Dhamanagar police limits under Bhadrak district, arrested him from a nearby village and produced him before the Civil and Session’s Court in Nabarangpur district yesterday.
