Shree Jagannath Temple Administration approves Rs 190 crore
Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee approved a budget proposal of Rs 190 crore for 2021-22, informed SJTA Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar.
A meeting of the temple managing committee was held under the chairmanship of Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb. It has approved the actual receipt and expenditures for 2020-21 and also cleared the budget estimate for the 2021-22 fiscal.
As briefed by SJTA Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar, there is a plan to generate income of Rs 106 crore whereas the expenditure will be around Rs 85 crore.
It has an plan to generate income of around Rs 37 crore as interest from fixed deposits, from donations & others.
‘Will also expect to earn Rs 15 crore from those quarries. From land acquisition we will get around Rs 60 crore,” Dr Kumar added.
SJTA said, Corpus Foundation Temple Fund will get additional Rs 70 crore this year and will reach nearly Rs 750 crore from the existing Rs 675 crore.
From Makar Sankranti, the temple’s donation scheme will be launched and online portal for the purpose will be unveiled, SJTA Chief Administrator said.
