Rains in Odisha triggered by South-west monsoon from June first week; MeT Office

Bhubaneswar, May 22: Today the meteorological office here has predicted that Odisha will soon be getting rains caused by the south-west monsoon in the first week of June. Regional Meteorological Centre director Sarat Chandra Sahu stated that the conditions for the coming of monsoon is favourable from the model of formations over the Bay of Bengal. Rains will gradually increase in Odisha after June first week. On May 30, the monsoon at first will hit Kerala. The heatwave conditions accompanied by hot wind and humidity seem to prevail in the State till the end of this month.
