Bhubaneswar, Apr 21: The seats in the Odisha Medical Service cadre have been increased from 5,389 to 6,719 on the directions given by the Odisha government. Special Secretary posts have been decreased to two and directors have been increased from 5 to 12. While, in the pay-band category, the number of doctors have been decreased from 435 to 434. Also, 4 specialist doctors are to be appointed at each community health centers. At the block level, block health officer will supervise the health services. Lastly, one CDMO and one public health officer will be in-charge of each district’s health condition in Odisha.
