Angul, June 14: In a tragic incident, some unknown miscreants had attacked the husband of the Tendulei Sarpanch Liza Behera on late Monday night over a past political enmity.
Identified as Kedara Behera, Liza’s Husband along with his cousin were returning home at around 1.30 am on a bike, when nearly 8 miscreants had attacked him with sharp weapons, injuring him in his legs, head and hands.
Soon after the incident, he was rushed to the Talcher central hospital in critical condition but as his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to a private hospital in Cuttack, said sources.
A police complaint has also been lodged by the Sarpanch. Acting on it, the police have detained two persons in the matter and are investigating further to arrest the others.
