Bhubaneswar, Aug 2: South west monsoon has been active over Odisha. Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 10.3 mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 31 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.
The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 74 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.
Extremely heavy showers and thunder storms will be on, in few parts of Odisha by Wednesday. During Wednesday, rainfall and thundershowers will be occurring maximum in both coastal and interior parts of Odisha. On Thursday, Interior and Coastal Odisha would witness extremely heavy rainfall along with thundershowers. On Friday, North Odisha would witness very heavy rainfall along with thundershowers whereas South Odisha is also likely to witness showers on the same day. Interior and Coastal Odisha parts would be drowned with tremendous heavy rainfall on Saturday. On Sunday, heavy to very heavy rainfall will be occurring over northern parts of the state and heavy showers will be there over the southern parts of the state as well.
On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there would be a decrease in rainfall from 8th August.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.4 degree C was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum temperature of 22 degree C was recorded at Angul in the plains of Odisha.
