Bhubaneswar, Dec 28: In a happening yesterday the Odisha State Unit of BJP had met Governor SC Jamir demanding installation of separate ballot boxes in polling booths for Zilla Parishad candidates during the upcoming pachayat polls.
As the Zilla Parishad polls are being contested under the party symbols, the State Unit president of BJP Basant Panda along with other delegates have demanded separate ballot boxes and the counting of votes for Zilla Parishad candidates in a single day.
With a related development, the top executives of BJP have initiated a 3-day brainstorming session at the state headquarters, to give a panchayat poll strategy of the party.
