Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: This year as the BMC has decided to go for a pollution free Diwali even children in city schools have decided for no crackers on this Diwali. Connected to this, various schools and voluntary organisations have conducted rallies, processions and led out slogan, poster and placard competitions on eco-friendly and cracker-free Diwali. The school has appealed to its students to have an eco-friendly Diwali this year. Also several voluntary organisations have taken steps to create awareness among children about the harmful effects of crackers. School teachers and parents said that the mindset of today’s children have undergone a change for the betterment.
DAV Public School, Pokhariput had organized a no cracker campaign inside the school on Thursday. They have plans of making a huge rangoli and party with dance and music on Diwali night instead of bursting crackers.
