Soro, Aug 27: The forest officials’ negligence to drive away the tusker caused the death of a man named Jatia Nayak on Friday in Kuturipal village, Soro on Saturday.
It is alleged that besides the complaint of the locals regarding the tusker that created panic in the village since last few days, no steps had been taken by the forest department officials.
As per the sources, the incident happened when the tusker started roaring in front of Nayak’s house, who was having food at his home at that time. To save his life, when Nayak tried to flee away from the spot, the tusker caught him and squashed him to death.
