Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: The Union Sectretary Balvinder Kumar here said today that about 20 mines across the country will auctioned soon.
Till date 17 mines have been aunctioned yet after the amendment of MMDA act out of which 7 highest blocks belongs to Karnataka, while one mining block belongs to Odisha so far, said Kumar after a chat with CS Padhi, and asked the state government to take steps to execute lease deeds of 60 more in the state.
All the case has been reviewed and the mine owners have explained their cases. Kumar has asked CS Padhi to review the cases on a priority basis, said sources. As the lease deeds will lapse by January 11, 17’, if not executed by time.
