COVID-19 cases in India jump to 17656 on Monday; Death toll of 559 till date

Bhubaneswar: April 20: There is an addition of 1553 COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours and also, 36 persons died due the disease in India.  The total number of Coronavirus positive cases in India has gone up to 17656 on Monday and 559 people have died so far. As per the latest data released by Health Ministry, 14255 active cases are there in the country and 2841 patients have been cured and discharged.

Maharashtra is the worst affected state with 4203 Covid-19 cases with 223 deaths. Particularly, Mumbai reported highest number of cases i.e.  2724. Next figure is of Delhi with 2003 cases and 45 deaths. Apart from Maharashtra and Delhi, Gujarat has 1851 cases with 67 deaths, Madhya Pradesh 1485 cases with 74 deaths, Tamilnadu 1477 cases with 15 deaths, Rajasthan 1478 cases with 14 deaths, Uttar Pradesh 1176 cases with 17 deaths, and Telengana 873 cases with 21 deaths .
