Jajpur, Sept 18: After the brutal scene of Dana Majhi came to fore which was a slap to the hospital management system of the ruling government in the rural villages especially, again a similar incident happened in Jajpur on Saturday. A woman, Pana Sirka belonging to the Ankula area, died yesterday while being treated at the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital. Her family members had to take the corpse in a trolley-rickshaw to her village due to unavailability or the denial of providing a hearse van by the hospital authorities.

If the family had enough money they could have managed to arrange an ambulance on their own. This incident again ignited the dying anger inside the villagers after the Dana Majhi incident. However, last month Odisha CM had come up with the the ‘Mahaprayan’ scheme which said that the family members of a deceased can get ambulances to carry the body of their near and dear ones died at a hospital to their homes by paying a particular token amount.
