Bhubaneswar, April 11: KIIT University this year posted excellent record in the ongoing campus placement processes for 2016 passing out batch in its all Schools.
It is poised to achieve cent percent placement again with 91% of the total 3214 registered and eligible students of 2016 passing-out batch already placed.
Schools of Engineering (B.Tech. programme) recorded 92 per cent placement. School of Rural Management and School of Management achieved 100 per cent and 83 per cent placement respectively.
Similarly, School of Law and School of Biotechnology registered 85 per cent and 98 per cent placement respectively while School of Computer Application achieved 84 per cent placement for its MCA students.
Placement processes are still continuing in full swing and all Schools are poised to achieve cent percent placement in the coming weeks, KIIT spokesperson said today.
In the most remarkable ever performance in campus placement, Schools of Engineering, which accounts for 82 per cent of the total registered students, created record 3800 jobs for 2015-16 pass-out batch on Day one.
The four major head-hunting companies – Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys – that visited the campus came up with a total 3406 job offers. While Accenture led the list with 1414 job offers, Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys followed with 899, 705 and 388 job offers respectively. As on mid March, as many as 82 companies have visited the campus offering total 4030 jobs and recruiting 92% of the total registered and eligible students.
In campus placement process these six Schools has so far generated 4566 jobs from 210 companies – many students have received multiple job offers, the spokesperson said adding salary package offered this year is higher compared to previous years. While the highest package is Rs. 33 lakh, average salary this season is Rs. 4.6 lakh.

This year also, many students have been selected in reputed national and international institutions / Universities for higher studies. Students have got confirmed offers from top universities in Switzerland, France, Norway, Canada, Poland and Germany for Ph.D. and other higher studies courses.
Record placement this year has resulted in a wave of joy among young passing-out graduates of the University who come from across the country and their guardians. “I was always assured of my ward’s bright future after sending him to KIIT”, said an elated parent.
Founder, KIIT & KISS Achyut Samant personally congratulated the students and praised their high learning rigor and enthusiasm for rigorous placement training organized by KIIT’s Training and Placement Cell.
He also encouraged the students to go for academic placement in foreign universities for their higher studies and take advantage of the tie-ups the University has made with over 130 reputed universities across the world.
Samanta attributed this year’s remarkable placement to the combined effort Training & Placement Cell, academic staff and intelligentsia of KIIT, the students.
Notably, last year, as many as 320 companies and organizations had participated in the campus placement process in six Schools generating 3627 offers for 2848 registered & eligible students.
