Odisha reports 849 new Covid-19 Cases and 721 recoveries

  • Active cases rose to 8288

Bhubaneswar: August 26: 849 cases were found in Odisha in last 24 hours, taking Odisha’s total tally to 1004059.

Out 849 new cases, 130 cases are under the age group of 0-18. As reported, 492 people were in quarantine & tested positive. Rest 357 cases are local cases.

Sate also registered 721 new recoveries in last 24 hours & recovered cases number went up to 988090.

Active cases stands at 8288 in Odisha.

Khurda District remains to be the most-affected district with 313 new cases today and next is Cuttack with 115 cases.

71,231 tests have been done in last 24 hours and daily positivity rate declines to 1.19 percent in Odisha.

Odisha Health Department informed regarding 66 new deaths and total death toll in Odisha increased to 7628. As clarified by State, these deaths have not occurred  on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
