Bhubaneswar: May 09: Odisha Government today approved the name of Ranglal Jamuda as the chairman of the Food Commission, sources said. Odisha Cadre IAS officer Sri Jamuda will be the Chairman whereas Manoj Kumar Panda and Sipra Mallick have been appointed as the members of the Commission. The chairman will enjoy the benefits given to chief secretary and members would avail the benefits of those provided to a principal secretary. Notably, Jamuda has served as Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries earlier. On last Thursday, screening committee meeting was held at State Secretariat, chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi. The Commission is likely to start functioning within a month’s time.
