Bhubaneswar: Anganwadi worker arrested. Vigilance cell on Tuesday arrested millionaire Anganwadi worker with More than Rs 4 crore worth of property. During a Vigilance raid, conducted yesterday, Kavita Mathan, an Anganbadi member, was arrested by the vigilance for 4 crore worth of undisclosed assets.
Kavita, reportedly has 3 buildings and 10 land in Bhubaneswar. Six separate teams of the Odisha vigilance department raided 6 different locations simultaneously and unveiled a list of assets that were astonishing. This Kordkanta Anganwadi worker Kavita Mathan has a four-storey building, a three-storey building and two two-storey buildings in the state capital itself.
Assets worth over Rs 04 Crore, including 4 multi-storey buildings, 14 plots (10 in BBSR), 01 four wheeler, 03 two wheelers etc. unearthed during house search of Anganwadi Worker Kabita Mathan.

Similarly, there are 14 lands in Kavita’s name in various places, including 10 in Bhubaneswar alone, three in Jagatsinghpur and one in Balianta. Mathan has a four-wheel drive vehicle and three two-wheel drive vehicles to her name. She also had gold jewellery worth Rs 6,36,000, in her possession.
Odisha vigilance on Tuesday raided Kordkanta Anganwadi Member Kavita Mathan’s house yesterday. Mathan, earlier, had been constantly accused of such allegations of possessing disproportionate assets. However, after being on the vigilance scanner for quite somtime, she was arrested and a thorough raid was conducting at 6 places across the state. Vigilance raided starting from her bank account to Anganwadi center.
